8. Linger

9/10

Enamoree Score

The décor in Linger is unlike any other – it’s housed in a former mortuary. The inside of the restaurant is layered with macabre remnants, and some of the tables are autopsy tables (cleaned up, of course). The bar counter and roof are made up of Lite Brites – the 70’s toy. During warmer months, the garage doors that surround Linger open up so inside diners can enjoy the weather.

Bring your date to the rooftop bar, which is outfitted with a 1975 GMC RV as the bar and a repurposed food truck as the kitchen. The bar has a good amount of seating both in the sun and the shade. From the rooftop, you can see the charming LoHi neighborhood as well as downtown Denver. The global menu is full of small plate shareables from a wide range of flavors. You and your date can’t miss this eclectic, unique ambiance.

9. The Happy Camper

9/10

Enamoree Score

And last, but not least, is the Happy Camper in LoHi. This rooftop bar made our list because it has such a unique atmosphere. For those outdoorsy couples, you’ll appreciate the camping vibe. From the foliage to the fire pits to the strings of lights, you can pretend that you’re at a real camping spot for an evening.

Whatever beverages you may enjoy when camping, here you can create your own six-pack of mix-and-match beer or hard seltzers. Or try their wine, cocktails or shots. Pizza is the main menu item: meat ‘za, veggie ‘za or chicken ‘za. Be sure to leave room for one of their specialty desserts: s’mores (of course), a cookie dough bowl, ice cream sandwiches and more. The Happy Camper’s motto says it all: “Eat, Drink & Be Happy.”

Whether you’re looking for a quiet evening and good conversation with your partner – or want to enjoy a game under the stars, we’ve shared a little bit of everything.

If you’ve been to any of the Denver rooftop bars on our list, let us know in the comments!

We’d love to hear about your experience.
